Duties of the Editorial Team

Editorial Board

It is made by full-time academics from the Department of Literature and Linguistics of the University of Sonora. It meets at least once every two months and is chaired by the Main Editor. Its functions are:

  1. Participate in the selection of the papers received.
  2. Participate in the selection of external reviewers.
  3. Solve conflicts that arise in the editing process.
  4. Determine the editorial policies of the journal.
  5. Collaborate in specific actions required by the editorial process such as: proofreading, translation, election of reviewers, promotion, among others.

Scientific Board

It is a corpus of academics with a distinguished track record in the field of literary studies. These are researchers from prestigious universities in the country and abroad. They serve as mentors of the journal. Its main function is to ensure the proper development of the journal and to strengthen its publication in international contexts. Among its faculties are those of recommending strategies for a better positioning, promoting its visibility and participating in the dictamination of papers. 

Main Editor

The one responsible of ensuring the proper development of the journal. Must be a full-time academic. Its functions are:

  1. Chair the Editorial Board
  2. Request from the Department of Literature and Linguistics of the University of Sonora the material and human resources required for publication purposes.
  3. Make sure that the journal complies with institutional regulations.
  4. Issue documents pertaining to editorial work such as certificates, requests, reports, among others.

Editing Assistant

Their functions are:

  1. Manage the communicative flux which includes reception of papers, review, notices to authors, among others.
  2. Supervise the processes of reception, review, correction and design.
  3. Keep the journal’s file organized.
  4. Carry out proofreading tasks.
