Peer review process
In order to guarantee a high standard of quality and also ensure a fair curricular validation of authors and their work, they will be submitted to a specialized and anonymous arbitration before publication.
An Editorial Board makes the prior selection of the papers that will be submitted for review. The Editorial Board can reject papers that do not meet the minimum requirements for publication or may suggest improvements directly to the authors so that they can make a second submission of their proposal.
The arbitration process consists of a confidential double-blind method. The reviewers must be specialists in the research area of the paper to review and are proposed by the Editorial Board. In 95% of the cases, the reviewers are external to the University of Sonora. The time assigned to each reviewer is six weeks.
The reviewers are previously registered on the platform with the role of reviewers. Once they have accepted to review a paper, they can access it and the Online Review Form according to the type of collaboration.
